Come join American Sign & Barricade Co, Denver’s premier traffic control and sub-contracting equipment company, as a key team member- Traffic Control Flagger! This essential role is vital in protecting lives and supporting ongoing growth improvements for the state of Colorado.
The right candidate will be essential in ensuring work zone and public safety, while meeting contractual project needs around the Denver Metro and Denver International Airport Area.
To qualify, you must:
-Be at least 18 years of age
-Have open availability to work, including nights and possible weekends
-Be able to pass an immediate drug test, including marijuana
-In some cases, be able to pass a 10 year criminal background check
-Have a valid ID and personal transportation to get to and from projects
-Be reliable and always follow safety procedures
-Be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
Ideal candidates will also possess the following characteristics:

-Ability to work in the heat/cold
-Prioritize safety procedures
Responsibilities:
- Direct traffic safely and efficiently at construction sites.
- Communicate with drivers and construction workers to ensure smooth traffic flow.
- Follow established procedures for traffic control and flagging.
- Maintain a high level of alertness and focus to prevent accidents.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals.
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.

- Required: Are you capable of working the standard traffic control industry schedule which requires next-day scheduling availability, Sunday through Saturday, for shifts that start as early as 4 am and can extend 12+ hours in a day?
- Required: Do you have a personal vehicle and are you capable of commuting to our jobsite locations in the Denver Metro area, including Denver International Airport and Castle Rock area?
- **Required: We are the exclusive traffic control service provider at Denver International Airport where some jobsite locations are in secured areas and require a DIA security badge. Can you pass a ten-year criminal background check for badging (no misdemeanor or felony conviction dates on your record within the last ten years)?
- Optional: Do you have a Colorado drivers license with minimum two-years driving experience and a clean motor vehicle record? Are you interested in driving positions?
