Job Duties:
- Guide patients in selecting premium frames and lens options that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences.
- Perform accurate measurements and ensure perfect frame adjustments and fittings.
- Educate patients on lens materials, coatings, and specialty options.
- Work closely with optometrists to ensure eyewear is fabricated to the highest standards.
- Inspect finished eyewear for quality assurance.
- Maintain inventory of our designer and independent frame collections.
- Document orders, preferences, and adjustments with care and accuracy.
- Assist patients in understanding and maximizing their vision insurance benefits (e.g., VSP, EyeMed)
- Contribute to an elevated, boutique patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Certified or licensed Optician preferred but not required
- Experience in a retail setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of frames, lenses, and optical products
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Comfortable using optical tools and software
- Familiarity with vision insurance plans such as VSP and EyeMed
- A growth mindset — willing to learn and continue improving as an optician
- Strong professionalism and ability to work collaboratively
