American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of acute care experience for a night shift travel assignment in a 240-bed hospital's Respiratory Therapy department.

Work in the Respiratory Therapy department of a 240-bed acute care hospital
-
Covers ED, PEDS, ICU, NICU, and Med/Surg patient populations
-
Patient load averages 30–40 points per shift
-
Uses PB 840 ventilators in the ICU
-
EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
-
Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
-
Minimum staffing of 3 RTs per night shift
-
13-week assignment
-
Active RRT license and certification required (license required if applicable)
-
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy
-
Minimum 6 months of current acute care hospital RRT experience within the last 6 months
-
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start date)

CRT or NBRC certification required

US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSN accepted

One professional reference required

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates considered

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Responsibilities include administering treatments, ventilator setup, assisting with intubation, ABGs, and all RT therapies

RT plays a key role in NICU and ICU therapy and ventilator liberation, requiring a high degree of clinical autonomy
-
PICU and/or NICU experience is preferred

Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred
