Overview
At Ascent Allied Solutions, we are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our expanding team in Sacramento Area. In this position, you will assist patients in regaining independence and enhancing their ability to carry out meaningful daily tasks.
We are seeking a dedicated individual for a PRN, part-time, or per diem - based role as a home health COTA
Location/s: Sacramento and nearby areas (Our therapists choose which locations they can cover)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by an Occupational Therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising OT
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and assistive devices
- Provide interventions in order to improve patients’ ability to perform daily activities, such as dressing, bathing, and household tasks
- Utilize therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance motor skills, coordination, and strength
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions
- Follow ethical standards and ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 Year COTA Experience
- Preferably at least 1 year Home Health experience (Training provided for COTA without home health experience)
- Must have valid professional license to practice COTA in the State of California
- Valid CPR License
- Valid Driver's License and your own reliable transportation
