Shell Superintendent – GSD Florida
GSD Florida is looking for a driven and dependable Shell Superintendent to support the successful execution of residential shell construction projects in the Fort Myers/Naples area of Southwest Florida. This position is a great opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is interested in developing a long-term career in construction operations and field leadership.
The ideal candidate will work closely with crews, builders, vendors, and office staff to ensure projects remain on schedule, meet quality expectations, and maintain a safe and productive job site environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily communication between field personnel, customers, and internal office teams
- Monitor job site materials and ensure supplies are available when needed
- Conduct routine site evaluations to verify workmanship and project quality
- Maintain compliance with all company safety standards and job site procedures
- Schedule and oversee required inspections throughout each phase of construction
- Keep BuilderTrend updated with project activity, timelines, and daily progress
- Track change orders and additional work to ensure accurate billing and collection
- Organize subcontractors and schedules to align with customer deadlines
- Attend and supervise all concrete pours on-site
- Assist in keeping projects on time, within budget, and operating efficiently
- Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a high-production construction setting
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to safety and craftsmanship
- Prior exposure to shell construction or residential building processes preferred
- Motivated to grow professionally within a rapidly expanding company
- Must have reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between job locations
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbs with assistance, to handle products, tools, or materials.
