Position Overview
Progressive Construction Services is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Manager to support
both field operations and office coordination. This hybrid role blends technical drawing review,
fabrication layout, supplier coordination, and hands-on jobsite involvement. The ideal candidate
is comfortable interpreting detailed fabrication drawings, performing precise field layout, and
collaborating closely with both office staff and field crews.
Key Responsibilities
▪ Perform complete field layout using fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and setting plans.
▪ Conduct accurate field measurements and verify conditions against design documents.
▪ Utilize auto levels and transits for layout, elevation checks, and alignment.
▪ Operate total station equipment if experienced (preferred but not required).
▪ Review, revise, and coordinate CAD drawings and fabrication details.
▪ Support project scheduling, planning, and daily coordination.
▪ Prepare RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
▪ Coordinate material needs, delivery timelines, and production details with suppliers.
▪ Work with field crews to resolve layout issues, tolerances, slab conditions, and installation
challenges.
▪ Maintain organized project records and communicate updates to stakeholders.
▪ Assist with estimating, takeoffs, and pricing as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
▪ Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
▪ Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings.
▪ Strong communication skills with both office staff and field personnel.
▪ Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
▪ Comfortable working in both office and jobsite environments.
▪ Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly.
Preferred Qualifications
▪ Experience using auto levels and transits.
▪ Experience with total station equipment (preferred but not required).
▪ Background in construction, engineering, or stone fabrication.
▪ Experience with granite, limestone, marble, or precast installation.
▪ Project management experience or related coursework.
