Job Summary
We ship a lot of orders out of this location, and this role sits in the middle of that. You'll spend most of your day at a packing station, pulling items for orders and boxing them up so nothing rattles around in transit. Some days are steadier than others. When a truck comes in, you'll help unload it and get the stock put where it belongs. The pace usually picks up in the afternoon, by the last hour you're staging pallets for pickup. It's a fast-paced environment during the holiday stretch. We're not expecting you to walk in knowing our labeling system — someone will show you how that works.
Responsibilities
- Pulling items from the shelves and packing them for shipment.
- Weigh each box and print the matching shipping label.
- Loading and unloading delivery trucks, which sometimes means grabbing a second person for the heavier pallets.
- Light cleaning around the packing station.
- Check outgoing orders against the packing slip before anything gets sealed.
- Restock tape, boxes, and filler as supplies run low.
- Breaking down cardboard for recycling.
Qualifications
- You catch the small things, like a label that's off by a digit or a slip that doesn't match the box.
- When something doesn't look right, you'll say so instead of sending the order out anyway.
- You don't mind being on your feet for most of the shift, and lifting a fifty-pound box doesn't faze you.
- Order volume shifts week to week, so you'll move from packing to unloading without much warning.
- Showing up for your scheduled shift matters, since the crew is often counting on a full station.
- You're a team player in the plain sense of it, pitching in when someone else is buried.
- New systems don't throw you, and you'd rather ask early than redo the work later.
Pay: $25.53 - $30.75 per hour
