Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, with occasional Saturdays 8am-12pm
Irr Supply is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Facilities Staff member who thrives in a variety of trades and is confident taking initiative and solving problems in dynamic work environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, leadership ability, and a proven track record of troubleshooting and finding creative solutions to challenges across multiple areas. This role requires someone who is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and is capable of overseeing projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to a wide range of projects, including basic maintenance, renovations, and complex construction tasks.
- Perform hands-on work across various trades, including but not limited to:
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Welding
- HVAC
- Commercial Roofing
- Painting
- Concrete/Masonry
- Security Camera Installation
- Be resourceful and proactive in identifying issues, proposing solutions, and executing projects with minimal oversight.
- Collaborate with team members when needed, while also taking ownership of tasks and projects.
- Maintain flexibility, as job duties and scope of work may change depending on the season or project requirements.
- Travel to job sites primarily in the Western New York area, with occasional overnight stays required.
Qualifications:
- Experience in one or more of the trades listed above is strongly preferred, but the ability and willingness to learn additional skills through on-the-job training is essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a “thinking outside the box” mindset when faced with unexpected challenges.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities and the ability to take charge of projects, ensuring successful completion with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable with physical work and the ability to maintain high standards of quality across a range of tasks.
- A clean driving record and a valid NYS driver’s license are required.
Travel Requirements:
This position involves occasional travel. Employees are not required to use their personal vehicle, as transportation is typically provided. We make every effort to provide reasonable advance notice for any required travel.
