- Quality Connections Living Services Inc. are looking for motivated candidates pursuing careers in mental health, sociology, social work, and developmental disabilities. We are looking to make an impact through one person at a time. We are currently looking for support professionals in ORANGE COUNTY.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
- Medication management
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients
- Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Good attendance and punctuality
Skills
- Proven experience as a caregiver
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States
- Have the experience or desire to work with adults with disabilities
- Have basic computer knowledge, math skills and sufficient reading, writing & communication skills in English to perform essential duties and responsibilities
- Have the physical ability to lift over 25 lbs.
- Have the ability to develop rapport and trust with our clients
- Have the ability to work as a team member, make sound judgments and be able to establish positive interpersonal relationships with a broad range of people
- Be comfortable with providing personal care support
- Be responsible and reliable
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license, a vehicle with current registration & insurance
- Criminal Background Clearance and an acceptable driving history
- Physician's clearance and a TB test clearance.
- High School diploma or GED
