Position Summary:
The intern will assist in supporting key merchant relationships, including negotiations for UnionPay acceptance, logo display, and joint promotions. The role involves collaborating with acquirers and merchants to understand their needs and help customize product solutions. The intern will gain hands-on experience in business development, operations etc. while supporting business growth through data analysis and identifying opportunities to increase transaction volume. Additionally, the intern will assist in negotiating business agreements and fostering new business partnerships.
Job Responsibility:
· Assist in supporting the approach and help negotiate with key merchants regarding UnionPay acceptance, logo display, joint promotions, etc.
· Collaborate with acquirers and merchants to understand their needs and assist in customizing product solutions when necessary.
· Develop a strong foundation in business skills across sales, product development, project management, business development, marketing, and operations.
· Support the promotion of UnionPay’s business, such as card acceptance at POS, ATMs, and online payment platforms, and assist in identifying opportunities for business growth.
· Analyze data to help identify opportunities to increase UnionPay card transaction volume.
· Assist in negotiating business agreements, strengthening existing partnerships, and supporting the development of new business opportunities.
Requirement:
· Bachelor degree or above.
· Technical background in financial industry is a plus.
· Good communication and interpersonal skill, and problem solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft software. Programming skill is a plus.
· Available for occasional business trips.
· Exceptional ability to manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships.
· Proficient in Chinese Mandarin is a plus.
