Reports to: Pipeline Maintenance & Inspection Manager
Salary Range: $22 - $28/Hour

Purpose
This position involves skilled work operating high-pressure vacuum/jetter vehicles and equipment. Responsibilities include cleaning sanitary and storm sewer systems, performing routine safety checks, and maintaining the vehicle and equipment as necessary.
Education and Experience
- CDL-A with tanker endorsement (Required)
- Postsecondary non-degree award
- 2 years continuous driving experience (Required)
- Two years of experience in the operation and maintenance of vacuum/jetter trucks (preferred)
General
- CDL-A with Tanker Endorsement
- Two years of experience in the operation and maintenance of vacuum/jetter trucks
- Required to obtain and carry a current medical certification
- Must be between 21 - 75 years of age (Over 70 requires an acceptable annual letter of health from a registered doctor or their representative)
- Must download the Teletrac application on a smartphone and complete daily electronic DVIR
- May not have more than five (5) minor violations in the past thirty-six (36) months
- May not have more than one (1) at-fault accident in the past thirty-six (36) months
- High School diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation to work

Working Conditions
This position could require evenings, nights, and some weekends. This will be performed mainly outdoors and sometimes in inclement weather and may require entry into confined spaces. It will also meet safety standards, laws, and regulations.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, stand and kneel for long periods, and be physically active. Able to enter confined spaces.
Tasks
- Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
- Maintain logs of working hours or vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
- Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes in compliance with state regulations
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs
- Read and interpret maps to determine maps to determine vehicle routes
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Operate high-pressure vacuum/jetter truck
- May enter confined spaces to properly maintain pipelines
- Mobilize to each site on a daily basis and safely operate the truck
- Complete all required administrative paperwork (truck mobilization/immobilization logs, schedules, etc.) accurately and within specified timelines
- Maintain excellent communication with colleagues
- Maintain truck equipment in good operating condition by adjusting, cleaning, lubricating, and performing minor repairs
- Performs operations according to contract specifications
- Exercises skills in manipulating equipment to properly perform tasks
- Transports debris from the work site to a designated disposal facility
- Perform routine safety inspection on assigned equipment
- Performs minor maintenance duties to check oil, fuel, water, and air necessary
- Cleans and washes equipment
- Performs other related work as required
- Proficiency and use of computer software used in operation
- Evaluation of sanitary and storm pipe system
- Operations, maintenance, and repair of pump stations
- Proficiency in the use of equipment for service instillation and meter maintenance
- Operation and maintenance of a piping system
- Performs cleaning and chemical and cementitious grouting of wastewater collection systems
- Other duties to operations systems as assigned
