Our family friendly and professional private Optometric practice is looking for an upbeat and service oriented individual with at least 1 year of optical experience . Additional training in the areas of front and back office duties is desirable.
The position is part-time with no evenings or week-end hours required.
Knowledge of the functions of an optical department, as well as general optometric practices is needed. We pride ourselves on giving the best possible service and care to our many loyal long term patients as well as those that are new to our practice. Pay is negotiable based on experience and skills.
Duties include:
- Helping patients select attractive and appropriate eyewear
- Ordering and verification of eyewear before dispensing
- Frame adjustment
- Working with insurance companies to obtain authorizations and benefit information
- Scheduling of patients when needed
- Posting of charges and collecting payments as needed

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
