We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and presentation of menu items, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and dicing using proper knife skills.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and cooking techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices to ensure the safety of all food items.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials.
- Support catering events as needed, ensuring quality and presentation align with fine dining standards.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service or culinary role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with fine dining standards and menu planning is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
- A team player with strong communication skills who can help foster a positive kitchen atmosphere.
- Experience as a dietary aide or in catering is advantageous but not required.
