Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our new state of the art Substance Use Disorder treatment center in Defiance, Ohio. This person will oversee our team and ensure the highest standards of food preparation and service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management, food safety, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role is essential in maintaining the quality of our food production while managing inventory and supervising staff in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Coordinate food production and presentation for all dining services
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food handling practices, and shift management.
- Collaborate with the director of operations to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of guests.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Experience with inventory control systems to manage stock effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, clients, and vendors.
- Proficient in various cooking techniques with experience in fine dining settings preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
