About the Role:
You will assist the lead drillers in setting up, operating, and maintaining drilling equipment. This role requires transporting heavy equipment and materials to and from job sites across various locations. This position requires extensive travel, with assignments lasting weeks at a time, but generous per diem and lodging benefits are provided during travel.
Minimum Qualifications:

Valid CDL with acceptable driving record.

Experience in construction drilling operations or related field.

Ability to follow safety protocols and operate heavy machinery under supervision.

Physical capability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience as a driller assistant or in a similar construction support role.

Certification or coursework in corrosion control or materials protection.

OSHA 10 certification or higher.
-
Experience operating specialized drilling equipment or vehicles.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
-
Assist the lead driller in the setup, operation, and breakdown of drilling rigs and associated equipment.

Transport drilling equipment, materials, and personnel safely to and from job sites using commercial vehicles in compliance with CDL regulations.

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of drilling machinery.

Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment on-site.
Other Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, such as trenches, pits, and manholes.

Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly

Must be able to climb stairs, ramps and ladders regularly

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, or drive for long periods of time (1-3 hours)

Must be able to see, hear, and respond quickly to dangerous situations

Must be comfortable working outdoors, including extreme weather conditions

Must be comfortable around moving machinery, vehicles, and heavy equipment

Must be comfortable wearing personal protective gear most of the day (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, safety vest, FRCs)

Compensation Range: $25.00 - $30.50
The compensation range listed for this position represents ONEMESA's good-faith estimate of the pay range it reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and business needs. Eligible employees may participate in ONEMESA's profit-sharing program and benefit offerings; which includes health insurance, 401(k) with generous company match, paid time off, and other company-sponsored benefits. Eligible travel and field employees may also receive additional benefits and incentives, including per diem allowances, cell phone stipends, and single-occupancy hotel accommodations.
This position requires extensive and travel and for several weeks at a time and 1 week off (daily per diem and hotel lodging provided when traveling).
Typically Monday - Saturday, between 45-60 hours, OT rules apply.
