Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to fabricate, repair, or modify metal structures according to detailed schematics and technical drawings.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute fabrication tasks.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical experience to troubleshoot and maintain automated systems within manufacturing or facilities environments.
- Conduct facilities maintenance including repairs, inspections, and preventative upkeep of equipment and structural components.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to assemble, install, or modify machinery parts ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Supervise or assist with projects involving residential painting or other related tasks as needed.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for diagnostics, record keeping, and maintenance scheduling.
- Demonstrate leadership by supervising team members during projects, ensuring quality standards are met while fostering a safe work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients or internal teams regarding project status or technical issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG, arc) with a strong understanding of welding safety practices.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams confidently.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting with tools like ohmmeters and understanding PLC systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, facilities maintenance, CMMS software, and residential painting is a plus.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration across teams.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards.
