Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions, and offer personalized recommendations
- Process cash transactions accurately using cash registers and POS systems, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Manage cash drawer, perform cash management tasks, and ensure proper balancing at shift end
- Support retail lending activities by explaining financial products and assisting with loan processing or collections when needed
- Maintain accurate data entry records for sales, customer information, and financial transactions using retail software and basic math skills
- Uphold store standards by organizing merchandise displays, ensuring cleanliness, and adhering to safety protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service environments, preferably within retail stores or banking/financial services sectors
- Strong cash handling skills including processing cash transactions, cashiering, and managing cash drawers with precision
- Familiarity with retail math, basic math calculations, and data entry tasks to ensure accuracy in transactions and record keeping
- Knowledge of retail lending processes, loan collections, and financial software is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude to build rapport with customers and team members
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently including processing cash transactions, managing the cash register, and assisting customers simultaneously
- Basic understanding of retail store operations, including inventory management and visual merchandising
