Pay: $14.00–$15.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, within center operating hours (6:00am-6:00pm)

Our early learning and aftercare center in Sunrise, FL is looking for a reliable, safety-conscious, and energetic Afterschool Teacher / Driver to join our team.
In this dual-role position, you will safely transport school-aged children from local elementary schools to our center and then transition into the classroom to provide engaging, structured, and supervised afterschool activities.

What You'll Do Safe Student Transportation
- Safely transport school-aged children from local elementary schools to the center using a company vehicle.
- Complete afternoon school pickups according to the assigned route and schedule.
- Conduct required headcounts before, during, and after transportation.
- Follow all transportation, safety, and center procedures.
- Maintain a calm, professional, and positive environment while children are in transit.
- Ensure children are safely loaded, transported, and released at the center.
Afterschool Classroom Support
- Supervise and engage school-aged children during afterschool hours.
- Lead age-appropriate activities, games, arts and crafts, and indoor/outdoor play.
- Assist students with homework and other age-appropriate learning activities.
- Encourage positive social interactions, teamwork, and respectful behavior.
- Maintain a structured, welcoming, and safe classroom environment.
Daily Routine & Supervision
- Assist with afternoon snacks and classroom routines.
- Maintain accurate attendance and headcount records.
- Support parent pickup and daily checkout procedures.
- Communicate professionally with parents and center staff.
- Maintain appropriate supervision and follow required staff-to-child ratios.
Qualifications & Requirements
We are seeking dependable, responsible, and child-focused candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 25 years old due to company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Valid Florida Driver's License with a safe driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of childcare, school, camp, or other experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- 45-Hour DCF Childcare Training completed
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain immediately.
- Willingness to complete a required medical bus physical, if applicable.
- Ability to pass a Level 2 Florida background screening.
- Strong spoken English communication skills required for child safety, transportation, and dispatch communication.
- Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
