About: The Skyline Soccer Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization and proud member of CSA, USYS and the U.S. Soccer Federation. Skyline is the oldest club in Denver, starting in 1965. We serve youth soccer players from ages 3-19. Skyline provide both recreational and competitive soccer, that focuses on player development, community, and sharing the love of soccer. Skyline is committed to growing the game of soccer, being inclusive, sustainable, and providing excellent service to our members. Additionally, Skyline owns an indoor soccer facility and recently purchased another building to serve as our administrative offices and provide additional indoor turf training for our members.
Position Summary: Skyline is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and collaborative leader to serve as our next Executive Director. This individual will be responsible for the leadership and execution of strategies, finances, operations and business development of the association in accordance with the strategic goals established by the Skyline Board. The Executive Director serves as the primary decision maker and liaison between the board, membership, staff, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Key component of Leadership in the following areas; finance, administration, fundraising, communications/marketing, facilities, and HR.
- Oversee all operations in alignment with the approved budget and policies.
- Execute the strategic direction and goals set by the Skyline Board.
- Develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors; serve on each committee; seek and build board involvement with strategic direction for both ongoing operations as well as future initiatives.
- Oversight of club relationships with club members, leagues, coaches, referees, and vendors.
- Lead, coach, develop, and retain high-performance management team.
- Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and other constituents.
- Identify and address staffing requirements for efficient operations, and maintain a strong work culture that attracts and retains people while driving the organization’s mission
Fundraising & Communications:
- Expand revenue through fundraising, capital campaigns and sponsorship activities to support existing program operations and expansion opportunities.
- Deepen and refine marketing opportunities- club communication, web presence, social media engagement & events, with the goal of creating a stronger brand and more engagement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with external stakeholders, including sponsors, vendors, and community partners.
- Meet aggressive annual fundraising goals, in partnership with board of directors, by securing financial support from foundations, corporations, individual donors, and government funding sources.
- Work with staff and board on annual fundraising benefit and additional events, and oversee all external communications, including website, marketing collateral, newsletters, and social media
Planning & New Business:
- Design strategic business planning process for the program expansion or new programming into new markets.
- Begin to build partnerships in new markets, establishing relationships with the funders, and community leaders.
- Conduct Market research for club comparison and opportunities for growth and new programming.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience, preferably within a nonprofit, sports, or youth-serving organization.
- Strong background in strategic planning, financial, operations, marketing and business development.
- Strong experience in staff management and customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of US Youth Soccer and/or U.S. Soccer Federation structures is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sports management, nonprofit leadership, or a related field required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Knowledge of leadership, business operations and management principles for nonprofit organizations
- Familiarity with Colorados soccer landscape is a plus.

Must complete and pass a background check for employment. Must complete yearly SafeSport, Concussion and CPR training if hired. Must have own transportation.
