The Quality Control Specialist will physically inspect all materials received, conduct pre/post run inspections, conduct quality checks throughout runs, inspect any items being assembled by Chappell Supply and Equipment, (“CSE”) employees and assist with ongoing training in all areas. This position requires attention to detail, multi-tasking, and ability to communicate clearly at all levels within CSE along with external customers and suppliers. This is considered a safety sensitive position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform receiving inspections
- Verify inspection equipment and all other production equipment are calibrated
- Identify and manage nonconforming material
- Create and manage nonconformance reports (NCR)
- Work with purchasing and suppliers for credit/replacement of nonconforming parts
- Communicate with sales and customers on Quality related issues
- Responsible for ongoing QC training for all CSE employees
- Responsible for QC of in-process and final assembly
- Responsible for Quality release of finished goods, both production and shipping assembly
- Works with suppliers and CSE management to verify and update hose fitting crimp specification
- Updates all QC specifications as needed
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Previous experience with hydraulic hose and various parts/fittings

Understanding of the hydraulic hose production process

Good written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized
- Reliable and dependable.

Familiar with ISO a plus
