Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, can interpret technical drawings, and is committed to producing high-quality parts in a safe and efficient manner.
The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures. Working at a steady, even pace to promote accuracy and quality of work to meet exacting customer standards is very important to this role.
A high level of expertise is expected and the ability to follow all procedures to facilitate the production of highly accurate machined parts is required to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or multi-axis machines
· Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
· Load raw materials and monitor machining processes
· Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program adjustments
· Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment
· Maintain tight tolerances and ensure quality standards are met
· Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
· Perform routine operator machine maintenance and keep work area clean
· Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Skills and Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
· 2+ years of CNC machining experience (or entry-level with training)
· Experience with reading and understanding G-code
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Ability to stand for extended periods
· Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
· Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
