Our practice is seeking an enthusiastic and highly-skilled RDAEFII to join our growing team!
Our Assistants provide patients with best-in-class service and quality during their dental appointment. Our RDAEFs perform a variety of assisting duties chairside and are expected to independently complete composite fillings and deliveries with the utmost care and precision.
With 4 dentists- ranging in special services from full-mouth cosmetic cases to anterior and posterior RCT as well as pediatric treatment- and an ABO certified Orthodontist, we offer our patients and their families a wide breadth of services and treatment options all under on roof!
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and eager to grow. This person will support the mission, vision, and values of the practice and work collaboratively with our general and hygiene departments to provide the the best one-stop-shop for our patient's oral health and smile confidence!
Schedule
- 38 hours per week.
- We work an Alternative Workweek Schedule (AWS) consisting of 3 10-hour shifts and 1 8-hour shift per week (if we offer a position to you, an AWS agreement with your specific schedule will be included with your offer letter).

Responsibilities/ Skills
- Effectively assists the doctor with clinical procedures and prepares patient for treatment
- Completes accurate and thorough patient records
- Complete X-rays, Intra-Oral photos, iTero scans
- Collaborates with and prompts the doctor to add same-day treatment and schedule the next visit
- Completes composite fillings with precision and timeliness
- Completes crown delivery appoints independently
- Makes temporary crowns; experience cementing temporary crowns using the lock-on method/ removing temporary crows that have been locked on is a plus
- Anticipates the Doctor’s needs; equipment and tools are accurately prepared for every appointment
- Effectively communicates & collaborates with Management, Front Office staff, Hygienists, and the Ortho department
- Builds patient relationships and accurately explains treatment
- Complies with FDA and OSHA guidelines for the maintenance and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment.
- Additional duties as assigned
Must-Haves
- Valid California RDAEF license
- Initiative: must be a self-starter and self-accountable
- Hustle: must be able to multi-task and display high energy and efficiency
- Adaptability: must be able to adapt to patient and schedule challenges, and be willing to jump-in and help others for team success
Nice-to-Haves
- 1+ years working as an RDAEF in a general or cosmetic dental office
- Experience in a dental and orthodontic group practice is a plus
- Experience with Open Dental Practice Management Software
- Experience with Dolphin Imaging
Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
