Job Summary
We are seeking detail-oriented and customer-focused Financial Services Support Representatives to support the day-to-day operations of a busy student financial services/business office environment.
This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills, comfort working with numbers, and experience handling financial transactions. The position supports accounts receivable activity, student account maintenance, payments, refunds, deposits, reconciliations, and front desk service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional front desk and customer service support to students, parents, staff, faculty, vendors, and visitors
- Process accounts receivable transactions, including payments, receipts, deposits, manual refunds, and petty cash requests
- Monitor and update student account information using internal financial systems
- Assist with student account adjustments in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Prepare daily bank deposits and related documentation
- Reconcile assigned accounts and generate periodic reports
- Identify discrepancies across systems and escalate items for review
- Contact students regarding payment deadlines and other important financial deadlines
- Support ID card and office equipment processes as needed
- Assist with vendor payments and business office purchase documentation
- Prepare journal entries and other finance-related records
- Review employee travel expense reports for required documentation and policy compliance
- Maintain a professional, accurate, and service-focused approach in all interactions
- Perform other related administrative and financial support duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of related experience required
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Experience in accounting, accounts receivable, banking, cashiering, financial services, higher education, or administrative office support is helpful
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to make sound decisions and solve routine problems
- Comfortable using computers, office equipment, and job-related software systems
- Ability to follow policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Professional judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information
Work Environment
- Office-based role

- May require occasional light lifting, pulling, or pushing of office materials or supplies
- Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available
- Payrate: $19.23 an hour.
