Location: Richardson, TX
Work Arrangement: Onsite - 5 days per week
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM-12:00 PM
Salary: $75,000-$85,000, depending on experience
LHH is partnering with a privately held insurance company in
Richardson, TX , to identify a
Financial Reporting Analyst to join its team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional looking to expand their expertise within the insurance industry while gaining valuable exposure to financial reporting, investments, tax, and regulatory processes.
The Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for preparing quarterly statutory financial reports for multiple insurance entities, supporting accounting functions, assisting with tax preparation, and serving as a key liaison with external auditors, actuaries, regulatory agencies, and outside CPA firms.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and support quarterly statutory financial reporting for three insurance company entities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with financial analysis and reporting related to company investments.
- Partner with the accounting team by providing backup support and cross-training across various accounting functions.
- Serve as a key liaison with external auditors, actuaries, regulatory agencies, and outside CPA firms.
- Assist with tax preparation activities and provide financial information requested by external tax advisors.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements while ensuring financial data is accurate, complete, and compliant.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance reporting processes and improve operational efficiencies.
- Provide backup support for IT-related functions and assist with system initiatives as needed.
- Research and resolve accounting and financial reporting questions while maintaining strong documentation and internal controls.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 2-5+ years of accounting experience required.
- Experience with financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or insurance accounting preferred.
- Knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (STAT) and insurance industry reporting preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including experience analyzing and managing financial data.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
