Blue Dolphin Swim Team is looking for a part-time Swim Coach to help lead our program. As a coach , you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. You will provide guidance, instruction, and support to athletes while fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
Swim Coach Job Summary
Coaches need to teach lessons in the water to help beginner athletes understand the 4 strokes of swimming such as diving, turning, and swimming rules.
Work Schedule:
·Saturday 5:30 pm-7:30 pm in Issaqauh
· Sunday 3:30 pm- 5:30pm in Issaqauh
Qualifications:
· Experience: 2 or more years of swim team coaching.
· Certifications: Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches Certification and Current Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certification
· Background Check: Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
· Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills for effectively teaching and motivating young athletes.
· Patience: A high level of patience and the ability to work with children of varying skill levels.
· Team Collaboration: Ability to work well with the head coach, other lead coaches, assistants, and support staff, and adhere to the team objectives for your group.
· Adaptability: Flexibility in adjusting coaching techniques to meet the needs of different swimmers.
· Time Management: Ability to manage practice sessions efficiently to cover planned drills and activities.
· Safety Awareness: Keen understanding of and ability to enforce pool safety protocols.
· Flexibility: Adaptability to work flexible hours, including evenings, and weekends.
Job Types: Part-time
Pay: 45.00 per hour
Work locations: Julius Boehm Pool in Issaquah and Sammamish YMCA
