Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Transportation Driver to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for our community. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine commitment to customer service. This role involves operating various types of vehicles, including a passenger bus and minivan . The Transportation Driver plays a vital role in fostering a positive experience for all passengers while maintaining high safety standards and adhering to operational protocols.
Duties
- Safely operate facility vehicles to transport passengers according to scheduled appointments and new admissions.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure mechanical safety and proper functioning.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing assistance as needed and ensuring a respectful environment.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and vehicle maintenance logs in compliance with company policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading passengers, including those with mobility challenges.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents or incidents during transit operations.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize routes and improve service quality while demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, or operating transportation vehicles.
- CDL is NOT required.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance basics with mechanical knowledge preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working with seniors and individuals with disabilities in a caregiving or transportation capacity is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
