Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Metal Fabricator-Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Use various hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques to join metal components securely.
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely to move heavy materials and fabricated parts around the shop or construction sites.
- Measure dimensions accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Fabricate ductwork, piping, structural frameworks, or custom metal assemblies following ASME codes & standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with hands-on fabrication and welding tasks.
- Strong proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding processes along with <LOCATION> welding techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings confidently.
- Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging procedures, pipe threading, soldering, and assembly processes in manufacturing or construction environments.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is preferred.
- Understanding of ASME codes & standards relevant to metal fabrication projects.
- Ability to work safely on construction sites or manufacturing floors while following all safety guidelines.
