Job Summary:
The RN Nurse Manager is responsible for supervising nursing staff and overseeing patient care. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based nursing care, fosters a collaborative work environment, maintains staffing efficiency, and promotes compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Providing medical care for individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders, helping them on their journey to recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining as needed.
- Ensure the provision of safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
- Develop and implement unit policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor patient outcomes and participate in performance improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and administrative staff to optimize patient care and departmental operations.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and accreditation requirements.
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff.
- Facilitate staff meetings and continuing education.
Ability to perform nursing assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
Performs thorough patient psychiatric interviews.
Continuously observes patients.
Demonstrates ability to perform treatments and provide services to level of licensure.
Knowledgeable of medications, including psychotropic drugs, and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and their clinical condition.
Qualifications
- Current state Registered Nurse Licensure.
- Current BCLS certification.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in a behavioral healthcare or related setting preferred.
