Infrastructure Administrator
Position Summary
The System Administrator / Network Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and support of the organization's server infrastructure, network systems, cloud services, and end-user computing environment. This position ensures reliable operation of all IT systems, maintains network performance and security, and provides technical support to users while implementing technology solutions that support business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Systems Administration
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and/or Linux servers.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure AD, and cloud-based applications.
- Monitor server performance and system availability.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and software deployments.
- Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Develop and maintain system documentation and procedures.
- Install and maintain application software
- Install and use various system administration software tools for support and troubleshooting.
- Manage a racked facility comprised of IT hardware, electrical power, and wiring.
Network Administration
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and internet connectivity.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and network security appliances.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Implement and maintain network security policies and access controls.
- Manage network monitoring tools and performance reporting.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for telecommunications and internet services.
- Ensure network redundancy and business continuity.
- Implement and maintain various IOT devices that support the operating environments.
- Install and use various network administration software tools for support and troubleshooting.
- Ability to network internal and external trouble shoot the infrastructure.
Cybersecurity
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices and policies.
- Monitor security alerts, logs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
- Manage endpoint protection, antivirus, and security updates.
- Support compliance with regulatory and organizational security requirements.
- Assist with incident response and disaster recovery planning.
- Install and use various cybersecurity administration software tools for support and troubleshooting.
User Support
- Provide Tier1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to employees.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Support desktop, laptop, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
- Train users on technology tools and security awareness practices.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and licensing records.
Project Management
- Participate in IT infrastructure projects and technology upgrades.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions.
- Evaluate new application software
- Coordinate implementation schedules and testing activities.
- Prepare project documentation, status reports, and technical specifications.
- Develop and manage the Information Technology Service Life Cycle
- Develop and manage the Information Technology Infrastructure Life Cycle
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in systems and network administration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and wireless networking.
- Experience with SDWAN and network routing.
- Experience network security policies.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong network, infrastructure, services, and process flow documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services AWS.
- Experience with network monitoring and security tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery technologies.
- Experience with software engeneering concepts oops, data structures, and SCM

Physical Requirements

Reporting Structure
Reports to the Chief Technology Officer
Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
