Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual interested and capable of contributing to furthering Mayflower’s integrated GPS, Inertial sensors, Vision/Visual aided, and other navigation sensor design and advanced technologies for the emerging markets.
The job involves research, design and development in the area of GPS and GPS/INS/Vision sensor-based navigation filters for real-time implementation in resilient PNT (position, navigation and timing) systems when GPS is challenged and/or denied. The candidate is expected to come up with better algorithms/techniques in this area and evaluate their performance through simulations. The ideal candidate will also provide support in real-time implementations of these algorithms on the target platforms involving Digital Signal Processors and General Purpose Microprocessors.
Although the current job requires design/analyses experience in GPS/INS/Vision based navigation filter design techniques, the successful candidate is expected to support the ongoing research in Anti-Jam and other Navigation Warfare sensor designs.
Qualifications:
- Position requires a Ph.D./MS in Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years work experience in the design and implementation of integrated real-time extended Kalman filters, knowledge of GPS system operation is preferred
- Knowledge and experience in digital signal processing are a plus
- The job has a requirement for work onsite at Mayflower facilities in Bedford, MA
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position

Experience:
- Strong mathematical background with analytical skills
- Working experience with MATLAB/Python is a must
- Prior experience in design and analyses of navigation filters for GPS and GPS/INS systems is desired
- Background in designing Extended Kalman Filters is desirable
- Programming experience with C/C++ is a plus
