About Us
Mud-Skipper builds and sells longtail mud motors and marine parts to hunters, guides, and boaters across the country. We're a small, hands-on operation — the same crew that packs the boxes also builds the motors and answers the phone. If you want a warehouse job where you actually learn something and aren't just a number on a pick rate report, this is that kind of job.
The Role
Most of your day is getting orders out the door accurately and on time. Beyond that, you'll be receiving freight, running the tow motor, helping customers on the phone, and — as you learn the product — assembling and repairing mud motors.
What You'll Be Doing
- Picking and packing orders accurately and hitting the daily shipping cutoff
- Receiving inventory — unloading freight, checking shipments against POs, stocking and organizing
- Operating a tow motor to move pallets, crates, and freight
- Answering phone calls and helping customers with orders, parts questions, and basic troubleshooting
- Assembling mud motors to spec, testing, and prepping for shipment
- Small engine repair — helping diagnose and repair customer and warranty units as you build the skills
- General shop upkeep — keeping the work area clean, safe, and organized
What We're Looking For
- Dependable and on time
- Accurate and detail-oriented; the wrong part in the box costs us a customer
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs and stay on your feet through the shift
- Comfortable operating a tow motor; we'll train and certify the right person
- Solid phone manner and patience with customers who may not know the right terminology
- Basic computer skills for order entry and lookups
- Valid driver's license
Nice to have: mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience with small engines (outboards, ATVs, mowers, generators, powersports); prior shipping, warehouse, or parts counter work; any background with boats or fishing/duck hunting gear.
