Job Description:
As a Snowflake Architect/Lead you’ll design, implement, and administer Snowflake data platforms. The role focuses on data architecture, ETL/ELT design, governance, platform administration, performance tuning, cost optimization, and enabling advanced analytics solutions.
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Data Platform roles.
- 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake architecture and administration experience.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling.
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with Python.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT design and data integration processes.
- Experience managing Snowflake security, governance, and access controls.
Duties:
- Design and implement scalable Snowflake architectures for data warehouse, data lake, and data sharing solutions.
- Develop data models and analytics-ready datasets.
- Build and oversee batch and near real-time ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
- Configure and manage Snowflake Data Sharing and advanced Snowflake capabilities (including Cortex AI).
- Establish data governance, masking, encryption, and security controls.
- Partner with business, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver data solutions.
- Evaluate and adopt new Snowflake features to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Support advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and anomaly detection initiatives.
- Administer Snowflake environments across development, testing, and production.
- Manage databases, schemas, warehouses, users, roles, and resource monitors.
- Monitor platform performance, availability, and usage costs.
