Represent the school district by participating in activities and appropriate civic and community committees, boards and associations directed toward furthering the community education concepts.
Provide leadership for community education concepts including community service, family involvement, volunteer programs, service learning, adult education, public relations and partnerships.
Create and maintain community education partnerships within Inver Grove Heights and the surrounding communities.
Develop and maintain appropriate marketing and publicity relationships; present at and network with local associations and municipalities.
Develop financial resources to support partnership efforts.
Evaluate program efforts and prepare appropriate reports as necessary.
CoordinateTri-District community education programs with South Saint Paul Public Schools and West Saint Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Public Schools.
Develop and administer a budget for all Inver Grove Heights Community Education programs and coordinate with the Director of Special Services on Early Learning and Community Preschool budgets.
Supervise community education programs in Inver Grove Heights including school-age care and enrichment programs.
Oversee the hiring and supervision of community education staff.
Assist Tri-District Community Education Directors with oversight of the marketing and publication of community education program brochures and materials.
Coordinate with the City of Inver Grove Heights on the Older Adult Program.
Oversee the Inver Grove Heights Community Theatre Program.
Oversee the district’s volunteer program.
Provide community education updates to the Board of Education.
Co-facilitate the Tri-District Advisory Council and participate in the Tri-District board meeting.
Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources.
Evaluate grant guidelines, eligibility criteria, and deadlines to determine alignment with the school district’s strategic priorities.
Collaborate with engaged parties, including school administrators, teachers, and department heads, to develop compelling grant proposals.
Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant narratives that effectively communicate the school district’s needs, goals, and intended outcomes in collaboration with a team
Ensure grant proposals are submitted in accordance with application guidelines and deadlines.
Researching statistics, trends and data for grant proposals and community advocacy
Oversee the implementation of funded grants, including budget management,
programmatic activities, and reporting requirements.
Establish and maintain systems to track grant expenditures, deliverables, and outcomes.
Coordinate with relevant staff members to ensure compliance with grant terms and conditions.
Submitting grant applications via paper or online portals, and maintain list of passwords;
Maintaining master calendar of grants and prospects and all associated files and
correspondence;
Preparing board items for acceptance of grants by the school board
Tracking progress toward organizational and programmatic outcomes and goals;
Assembling all necessary supporting materials and documents including budget reports, outcome measurements, success stories, etc.
Submit reports to funders and investors
Cultivate and maintain relationships with funding agencies, donors, and community partners to enhance grant opportunities and support ongoing collaboration
Serve as a liaison between the school district and external stakeholders, providing updates on grant-funded initiatives and outcomes
Provide guidance, training, and support to school staff members involved in grant-related activities, including grant writing, budgeting, and reporting
Stay informed about best practices, trends, and developments in grant funding and grant management
Other related duties as assigned.
