Job Summary

Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and cleaning surfaces to meet sanitation standards
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items with care and efficiency
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure hygiene compliance
- Maintain floor care through sweeping, scrubbing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to preserve flooring quality and appearance
- Manage outdoor work tasks such as patio or garden cleaning when required, ensuring outdoor areas are tidy and well-maintained
- Use manual handling techniques safely for heavy lifting of furniture or equipment while adhering to safety guidelines
- Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments, including janitorial or custodial roles
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and the proper use of cleaning equipment and detergents
- Skilled in floor cleaning techniques such as mopping, buffing, and carpet extraction
- Ability to perform laundry tasks efficiently while maintaining fabric care standards
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete assignments promptly
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, outdoor work, and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Experience with housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus for leadership opportunities
