Xcel Fabrication is seeking a dependable and skilled CDL Driver to join our team in West Jordan. This is a versatile, full-time role designed for a driver who wants to stay local, work a consistent schedule, and be home every night and on weekends.
In this role, you will split your time between operating company vehicles and assisting with essential warehouse operations. You will not be operating semi-trucks; your driving responsibilities will involve loads that meet CDL length and weight requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Delivery (Approx. 2 days/week)
- Operate company vehicles to transport materials between our West Jordan location and to local job sites and customers.
- Ensure all loads are secured safely and adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipping manifests, and electronic or paper documentation.
- Provide professional customer service upon arrival at job sites and delivery locations.
Warehouse Operations (Approx. 2 days/week)
- Assist in the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products.
- Use warehouse equipment (such as forklifts or pallet jacks) to organize inventory and stage materials for upcoming shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist the shop team with material handling, basic inventory checks, or order preparation as directed.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in good standing.
- Experience: Proven experience in a driving role; familiarity with flatbed or heavy-load configurations is a plus.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic with a focus on punctuality and safety.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials up to [e.g., 50 lbs] regularly. Comfortable working in both indoor warehouse conditions and outdoor delivery environments.
- Attitude: Willingness to jump in and help with various tasks to support the team, whether behind the wheel or on the warehouse floor.

Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Background Check: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, including a review of driving history (MVR), is required.

Pay: $26.42 - $31.82 per hour
