Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of fresh juices, and coffee beverages, and package pastries with precision and care
- Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Toast
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with attention to detail and accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including food prep stations and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers about menu options, promoting sales and enhancing their experience
- Follow proper food handling procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service, with strong coffee-making skills and familiarity with serving beverages and light snacks
- Experience working with POS systems such as Toast for efficient transactions
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating friendliness, patience, and active listening
- Strong time management abilities to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced café environment
