Temporary Part-Time Dog Daycare Tech / Kennel Technician / Trainer Mentor

We're looking for an energetic, reliable animal lover to join our team on a temporary part-time basis, with the opportunity to grow into a permanent full-time position as we continue to expand.
This position is a great fit for:
- Experienced daycare or kennel technicians
- Aspiring dog trainers looking for hands-on mentorship
- Individuals interested in learning behavior, enrichment, and fear-free handling
You'll work alongside our training team caring for dogs, supervising playgroups, assisting with adventures, cleaning and sanitizing, transporting dogs, and helping create a safe, enriching environment for every dog in our care.
Schedule
We are looking for someone who is available Monday through Thursday within the hours of 8:00 AM–7:00 PM.
This is a temporary part-time position, and scheduled hours will vary within these timeframes based on staffing needs. There is strong potential for this position to become full-time as we continue to grow.

Interested in Becoming a Trainer?
If your long-term goal is to become a professional dog trainer, we also offer a mentorship pathway. Team members can begin in this daycare/kennel position while learning the foundations of dog behavior, handling, and training.
As your skills develop, you'll have the opportunity to learn how we safely work with fearful, reactive, and bite-risk dogs using positive reinforcement, Fear Free, choice-based training, and LIMA principles.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain real-world experience while working toward a career in professional dog training.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Passionate about animal welfare
- Reliable, dependable, and hardworking
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Able to lift 50+ pounds and stay active throughout the day
- Calm under pressure and eager to learn
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- At least 18 years old
- Has a valid driver's license
- Comfortable transporting dogs in either your own or a company vehicle
- Comfortable using technology and mobile apps for daily communication and record keeping. This position requires taking high-quality photos and videos, writing clear notes, sharing client updates, and learning multiple software systems, including scheduling, messaging, and client management platforms. Basic computer and administrative skills are required.
Bonus Experience
- Dog daycare or kennel experience
- Veterinary or shelter experience
- Positive reinforcement training knowledge
- Fear Free or LIMA experience (or a desire to learn)
- Experience working with bite-risk or hands-off dogs
- An associate's degree, bachelor's degree, dog training certifications, or other animal welfare education beyond high school
