About the Position
We are looking for a Dental Office Coordinator to join our private dental practice in St. Augustine. This is an important leadership role for someone who understands that a successful dental office requires strong organization, communication, accountability, and teamwork.
The right candidate will be a proactive problem-solver and collaborative team member who is comfortable taking initiative and taking ownership of the patient experience, office operations, and the overall success of the practice.
You will work closely with the doctor and the entire team to keep the office running smoothly, support excellent patient care, and ensure that administrative and financial responsibilities are handled accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the dental office.
- Manage patient scheduling, appointment flow, and daily office coordination.
- Monitor staff productivity and help maintain an efficient, accountable team.
- Oversee patient collections and accounts receivable.
- Monitor office expenses and assist with maintaining responsible financial operations.
- Process and manage payroll.
- Verify insurance details, process, track and follow up claims, and communicate coverage information clearly to patients.
- Utilize Eaglesoft for scheduling, patient records, billing, and office management.
- Complete and review end-of-day reports and ensure daily transactions and office activity are properly reconciled.
- Communicate effectively with the doctor regarding daily operations, patient needs, scheduling, and administrative matters.
- Work closely with the doctor and make sure the doctor's questions, requests, and priorities are followed through promptly.
- Identify operational challenges and take initiative to resolve them.
- Help create a positive, professional, and patient-centered environment.
- Support the team wherever needed to ensure the practice operates efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental office management or dental administrative role.
- Experience with Eaglesoft preferred.
- Knowledge of dental insurance, claims, eligibility, and benefits verification.
- Experience with scheduling, collections, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Professional, dependable, and solution-oriented attitude.
