Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and efficient Sushi Prep Team Member to assist with the daily preparation and packaging of fresh grab-and-go sushi. This position involves food preparation, sushi packaging, maintaining a clean workspace, and supporting daily kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package sushi for grab-and-go sales according to quality and portion standards.
- Wash, cut, and prepare vegetables and other ingredients.
- Assist with preparing and portioning fish and other sushi ingredients.
- Cook, season, and properly store sushi rice.
- Label, package, and organize finished sushi products.
- Keep prep areas, equipment, and work surfaces clean and sanitized.
- Wash dishes, utensils, cutting boards, containers, and kitchen equipment.
- Properly store and rotate ingredients following food-safety procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen cleaning duties.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
- Work efficiently with the team to complete daily production needs.
Qualifications
- Food preparation or kitchen experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable handling raw fish and other food products.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive food-prep tasks.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
