Job Overview
Join our hospitality team as a Laundry & Housekeeping Attendant at Days Inn Reidsville. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in keeping our hotel clean, organized, and welcoming for all guests.
In this role, you will be responsible for laundry operations, room cleaning support, and general housekeeping tasks as needed to maintain hotel cleanliness standards. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
This is a hands-on role with no fixed schedule, and shifts will vary based on hotel occupancy and operational needs. Flexibility is essential.
Duties
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and guest laundry.
- Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times.
- Sort and distribute clean linens to housekeeping staff as needed.
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and report issues.
- Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning guest rooms when required.
- Clean bathrooms, change linens, make beds, vacuum, dust, and sanitize rooms as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, storage areas, and hotel common spaces.
- Ensure housekeeping carts are stocked and organized properly.
- Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Follow hotel cleaning standards and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and seasonal cleaning tasks.
- Support management and housekeeping team with any additional cleaning duties.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry items throughout the shift.
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
Training & Development
We provide support and training to help you succeed in your role. Training will include:
- Laundry operations and machine handling
- Housekeeping cleaning standards and procedures
- Hotel sanitation and hygiene guidelines
- Safety practices and chemical handling
- Proper linen management and organization
No prior hotel experience is required — we will train the right candidate.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs when needed.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and physical movement required.
- Ability to work in varying hotel environments (laundry room, guest rooms, public areas).
