Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our Mobile Crisis Team, a vital component of our community-based mental health and behavioral health services. In this role, you will provide immediate, compassionate crisis intervention and mental health support to individuals experiencing acute emotional distress or behavioral crises in their homes, community settings, or other environments. Your expertise will help stabilize individuals in crisis, connect them with appropriate resources, and promote recovery and resilience through personalized care. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate mental health status, risk factors, and immediate needs using clinical judgment and diagnostic tools.
- Deliver crisis intervention services through evidence-based approaches such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed care tailored to each individual’s circumstances.
- Collaborate with clients’ families, caregivers, and community resources to develop individualized care plans that address both immediate crises and long-term recovery goals.
- Coordinate services across healthcare providers, social services, and community agencies to ensure seamless support for clients.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in (CMR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection efforts to improve service delivery and contribute to best practices in crisis intervention and behavioral health.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to stay current on clinical techniques, legal requirements and emerging trends in mental health care.
- Provide training if needed to staff if needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana state licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Mental Health Worker (LMHW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent credential with active certification to practice independently.
- Some experience working with children, adolescents, adults, in crisis or community settings; is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, mental health diagnoses (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical records management.
- Experience documentation and data collection; understanding of HIPAA regulations is essential.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including intake procedures and diagnostic evaluations while demonstrating excellent crisis management skills.
- Knowledge of special populations complex behavioral health needs; especiallyth those experience substance use or mental health needs
- Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach that fosters trust and rapport during high stakes situations.
- Must have a valid drivers license
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
