Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, SRP, polishing, New Patients and fluoride treatments using advanced dental equipment.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to develop personalized care plans.
- Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Open Dental while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) with current certification to practice in the state.
- Proficiency with dental software including OPEN DENTAL EMR systems for documentation review and medical coding.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical records management.
