MedOp Solutions is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. This opportunity is ideal for an IR technologist who is confident scrubbing complex interventional procedures and thrives in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Candidates with Neuro Interventional Radiology experience are strongly preferred. Please highlight neuro experience on your resume at the time of submission.
The Interventional Radiology department performs advanced vascular and non-vascular procedures supporting multiple specialties including neurovascular, oncology, and emergency interventions.
- Mechanical Thrombectomies
- Pulmonary Embolism Interventions
- Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
- Y-90 Radioembolization Procedures
- Complex Body Interventional Radiology Procedures
- Neuro Interventional Procedures
- Additional vascular and image-guided interventions
- Scrub and assist Interventional Radiologists during complex procedures
- Prepare procedural suites and maintain sterile technique
- Operate advanced fluoroscopic and imaging equipment
- Assist with neurovascular and body interventional procedures
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and procedural staff to ensure exceptional patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with radiation safety standards
- Participate in emergency and on-call procedures as scheduled
- Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience
- Previous travel assignment experience
- Active Illinois license
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) License
- Current ARRT Certification
- Current BLS Certification
- Ability to independently scrub complex IR procedures
- Neuro Interventional Radiology experience
- Experience with:
- Mechanical Thrombectomies
- Pulmonary Embolism Interventions
- UFE Procedures
- Y-90 Procedures
- Advanced Digital Fluoroscopy Systems
- Interventional Radiology Imaging Equipment
- Neuro Interventional Technology
- Radiation Safety Equipment
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Facility orientation scheduled during the week
- Monday orientation is preferred
- 13-week travel assignment
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Day shift consisting of 8 or 10-hour shifts
- No routine weekend shifts unless assigned on-call
- On-call responsibilities include:
- Up to 9 call days per month
- One full weekend call rotation (Friday–Sunday) every four weeks
- One additional weekend day as third-call coverage
- 30-minute callback for Neuro Interventional cases
- 45-minute callback for Body Interventional Radiology cases
- Call Pay: $8/hour with a 2-hour minimum callback guarantee
- Current Resume (Please highlight Neuro IR experience if applicable)
- Illinois License
- IEMA License
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification
Credentialing Deadline: All credentials must be submitted by Thursday prior to the scheduled start date.
