Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Front of House Team Menber to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage various tasks will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our patrons.
Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling practices.
- Perform merchandising duties including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability.
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and promote sales.
- Upsell products when appropriate to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques.
Skills
- Strong communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette and customer interaction.
- Experience in retail sales, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and retail math applications.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to effectively display products.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Familiarity with product demos to engage customers effectively.
