Gameday Grounds Crew (Part-Time / Seasonal)
Location: Hinchliffe Stadium – Paterson, New Jersey
Pay Rate: $16–$20 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Part-Time / Seasonal / Nights, Weekends & Holidays Required
Position Summary
The New Jersey Jackals are seeking hardworking, dependable, and team-oriented individuals to join our Gameday Grounds Crew for the upcoming baseball season at historic Hinchliffe Stadium. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a professional playing surface and delivering a first-class fan and player experience during all home games and stadium events.
The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about sports, teamwork, and live event operations.
Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the baseball field before, during, and after games

Assist with batting practice setup and post-game field cleanup

Handle tarp pulls and weather-related field protection procedures

Maintain dugouts, bullpens, foul territory, and surrounding field areas

Operate basic groundskeeping tools and equipment safely

Assist with stadium setup for special events, concerts, and community programs

Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and safe

Work collaboratively with stadium operations and baseball staff
Qualifications

Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required

Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours

Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, athletic field, or baseball experience preferred but not required

Must be at least 16 years old
