Communications Center Operator

Overnight Shift | Friday & Saturday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Brookgreen Gardens is seeking a dependable Communications Center Operator to help keep our guests, staff, and gardens safe overnight. Stationed in our Communications Center, this role serves as the eyes and ears of Brookgreen after dark — monitoring CCTV and alarm systems and staying in constant contact with the on-site Safety Officer as they complete rounds and checks throughout the gardens. This is an office-based position that plays a critical part in Brookgreen's overnight safety operations.
Schedule: Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Additional hours may be required for special events or departmental needs.

- Maintain first aid stations and supplies
- Keep security leadership informed of incidents and concerns
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A professional, calm, and customer-focused demeanor
- Ability to learn Brookgreen Gardens' programs and operations
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours as needed
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
This position is based in Brookgreen's Communications Center and does not involve outdoor patrol duties. A pre-employment background check and drug screening are required prior to hire.
