American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a role in a Magnet-designated acute care hospital's IR department.

Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of an acute care, Magnet-designated hospital
-
5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
-
Weekend availability is required
-
On-call responsibilities include one weekday shift per week from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
On-call also includes one three-day weekend per month (Friday 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM)
-
Uses Epic charting system
-
Utilizes fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
-
Performs vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures including embolization, biliary drainage, nephrostomy, stent placements, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, TIPS, and IVC filter placement
-
Scrubs and maintains sterile field for procedures
-
Travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as needed
-
Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
-
ARRT-R and BLS certification required
-
State license required if applicable
-
Epic charting experience required
-
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
-
Skilled in venous access, central line care, and PICC line management
-
Experience with genitourinary and vascular studies/procedures preferred
-
Proficient with fluoroscopy and ultrasound-guided procedures
-
Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE use, and rapid response/code team protocols
-
First-time travelers accepted
-
Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures
-
Maintains equipment, stocks supplies, and manages inventory as needed
-
Scrubs of any color are accepted, with L&D and OR scrubs provided
-
Free parking is available on-site

Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Local candidates are accepted

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
-
Returning employees who previously worked at the facility as permanent staff may reapply as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live more than 50 miles away
-
RTO requests should be minimal to avoid delays in the offer process
