Role Mission
Responsible for providing high-quality clinical support and patient care under the supervision of the physician. You will assist the physician and staff in coordinating patient care and function as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and the physician. We are a fast-paced, patient-centered practice that values clear communication and a positive attitude.
Major Responsibilities
- Clinical Support: Greet and room patients, assess general condition, and accurately capture vital signs.
- Physician Assistance: Prepare exam rooms and equipment; assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, treatment-related phone calls, and medication instructions.
- Education: Empower patients and their families by explaining diagnostic procedures, nutrition, and wellness maintenance.
- Diagnostics: Instruct and assist patients in the collection of lab tests.
- Administrative Flow: Maintain and review electronic patient records; manage appointments, referrals, and lab test scheduling.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification: Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, or equivalent) is required.
- Bilingual Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in EzDerm or similar EMR systems and clinical charting.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.

Physical Demands & Environment
- Requires full range of body motion including handling/lifting patients and manual dexterity for clinical tasks.
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Normal office and exam room environment with frequent exposure to conditions common to a clinic environment.
