Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various vehicle models, particularly Mazda vehicles. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools, understanding schematics, and performing advanced diagnostics, including IDS and MMDARS systems. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are serviced efficiently and effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Mazda vehicles and other makes as needed.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot problems accurately.
- Conduct auto estimating for repair costs and timeframes.
- Execute alignments, tire replacement and repair, and other specialized automotive services.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding repair processes and vehicle status.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role in automotive service.
- Proficiency in automotive repair techniques, including the ability to diagnose electrical concerns when necessary.
- Familiarity with IDS/MMDARS systems and the ability to diagnose related issues is a plus.
- Strong understanding of schematics related to automotive systems.
- Experience with auto estimating processes for repairs.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
