J Harris Homes is looking a reliable employee for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.
1st shift: 6am-2pm
2nd shift: 2pm-10pm
3rd shift:10pm-6am
Weekends:
1st shift: 6am-6pm
2nd shift: 6pm-6am
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist clients with personal care, including dressing, mobility, administering medication, personal hygiene, eating and transporting to doctor’s appointments. Monitor patient medications and update health charts. Maintain open communication between families and health care professionals regarding client’s medical and emotional condition. Document and report any changes in client’s health statusEnsure highest client safety and well-being.
Qualifications and Skills
There is a specific program in Racine we partner with to also help certain people find employment. The program is called transitional jobs, qualifications are listed below:
Must be a Racine resident
Must be 18 years or older
(24 years or older must have a child)
Child support Order
Reunification Plan
Must be unemployed for the last 4 weeks
Not currently enrolled in any w2 services or unemployment

Must be able to provide negative TB test
Must be able to take proper training, or already have training within the last year
Clean record
High School Diploma
18 years or older
Reliable Transportation
Duties:
- Reading, writing, and carrying out directions
- Charting or taking notes for others to review
- Providing companionship and supportive listening
- Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
- Taking vitals, height, and weight
- Feeding clients
- Maintaining patient’s health equipment
- Responding to emergency situations
- Administering medication
- Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport
- Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
COVID-19 Precaution(s):
- Personal protective equipment provided or required
- Temperature screenings
- Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place
